For this project, I designed a 16-page cookbook celebrating the rich and vibrant cuisine of Mexico. The concept aimed to go beyond just presenting recipes; it sought to immerse the reader in the visual and cultural experience of Mexican food, with a focus on both the dishes and the communities where these meals are created and enjoyed.

The cookbook is designed as a curated photographic journey, featuring colorful, high-resolution images that not only highlight the recipes but also capture the essence of Mexican streets, buildings, and gathering spaces. The opening pages feature neighborhood scenes to evoke a sense of place, inviting readers into the heart of where authentic Mexican cuisine is made and shared by families and friends.
The color palette draws inspiration from Mexico’s vividly painted homes and communities, bringing warmth and playfulness to the design. To tie everything together, a chalkboard theme runs throughout the book, enhancing the local and folksy personality. Hand-drawn icons, including a cast iron pan, jalapeños, and cooking instructions, add a personal and whimsical touch, maintaining a consistent theme that complements the authenticity and vibrancy of Mexican culture.
This project highlights the fusion of photography, design, and culinary tradition, creating an engaging and visually cohesive cookbook that celebrates the flavors and spirit of Mexico.
