For this project, I designed a fixed EPUB version of Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu, along with the eBook cover. The cover design subtly reflects the concept of Yin and Yang through its color split, avoiding overt symbolism. I retraced the Chinese symbol for Tao in deep red to create visual focus and intrigue. For added texture and interest, I used a clipping mask with the title type overlaid on a photo of a statue of Lao Tzu, enhancing the connection between the text and its philosophical roots.
